Fall Honey

The Bees are finishing fall honey for their winter stores. When visiting the stand you will smell an off smell, kind of like stinky feet. This is golden rod being brought into the hives. It looks like we got a good Knotweed honey harvest this year as well!

Honey Supply

We have Spring and Fall honey extracted, bottled and out for sale! Stop out and get yours today. At the 2025 Westmoreland county fair our creamed honey and amber honey both took first place! We make real creamed honey, not whipped honey like alot of beekeepers try to sale as creamed. As always, The Honey House is inspected as well by the PA Department of Agriculture.

Nuc’s

A NUC WILL BE ONE 5 DEEP frame box.  The NUC box itself will be cardboard or a plastic Pro Nuc.  The NUC will have a minimum of 3 frames drawn out by the bees with Nectar and Brood present.  There will be a current year mated queen made by the bees.  She may or may not be marked.  There is a non-refundable deposit required, this is used to purchase the NUC box and frames.  For extra. we can upgrade you to a plastic Pro NUC box.  The NUC box is yours to keep.

There is a deposit to reserve one of our 8 NUC’s.  I will do my best to keep you updated as the hives grow close to ready for pickup (typically a heads up 1-2 weeks before they are ready).  NUC’s are not always ready at the same time.   Once I call you and tell you they are ready to pick up, you should try your best to pick them up within a few days.  If you are not ready and are early on my list, we can skip you till the next NUC is ready.  AFTER 30 days, if no arrangements are made and there is no communication in this time frame, I will consider your hive abandoned and it will be sold to someone else.  NUC’s are typically ready from mid-May-June weather pending.  Payment: Cash, Check
